PART 4

A.N.: This is the fourth chapter of my Apocalypse series on my other account.  Be sure that you have read those before you read these.  Link to Part 1 is in the description.

It seemed that the days had dragged on as the snow storm grew more intense.  It hadn't been long that on the way, the lot of you had to seek refuge at an other abandoned gas station, for the worst had yet to come.  Before departing from the last gas station, Tim and Tino had cleaned the store out of any food and medicine that could be found.

But it wasn't enough.

Hunger was growing and energy was dwindling as all of you now had to ration the food.  It seemed that the tensions were high for Tim was left with the job splitting the food evenly and there was always bickering that someone was getting more food than the other.

"At least you're still alive!  ______ over here is practically dying from starvation while you continue to whine about her having just a bit more than you?  That's just sick." Tim seethed at Ivan.  Although who could blame him?  He was huge.

"You only feed her more because you and she are some sort of team." The Russian spat back.  Anger was bubbling in the pit of his stomach.

"Stop." You croaked, throat dry from the lack of nourishment.  Tim looked over at you with a worrisome expression.

"C'mon, lay down ______.  Go back to sleep." You gave him a small smile laid back down into the makeshift bed.  Once you were settled back down again, Tim looked over at Ivan, "Listen, this is going to get us nowhere.  We don't need t'fight and we sure as hell don't need t'drag the lady into this."

Ivan grumbled a few words to himself and then turned to Tim again as he said, "Then let me have a little extra to feed to Raivis."  Tim paused for a second, looking over at your now sleeping form.  It's not that Tim didn't like the young boy; he just wasn't exactly…his problem.  He was here to take care of one thing and one thing only: you.

But as time progressed, they had run into the three of them…they were a group and they needed to work together.

"'Kay." Tim answered, handing Ivan a packet of crackers.  Ivan took them thankfully and turned away to walk over to Tino and Raivis.

Tim turned back to you, he didn't want to wake you so he laid close to you, he buried his nose in your hair and shut his eyes, just hoping that all of this would end.  All he wanted was you, in his arms, safe and sound.  But it's not that easy is it?

Life doesn't just hand you lemons, life likes to kick you in the ass and then laugh at your unfortunate state.

Maybe it was the fact that Tim was rather hungry since the tensions were really thin and that he and Ivan were at each others necks.  Either way, he didn't care, he just wanted this stupid hell to end.

~~

After a few days in the gas station, it was time to move on to the shores of England.  Currently, you were passing through Brighton and it seemed pretty deserted.

Not everything is what it seems.

It had been a good hour as all of you walked through the "abandoned" city.  Your feet were beginning to hurt and all of you decided to take a rest on what was left of a sidewalk.  Thankfully the snow wasn't as harsh in Brighton as it was in the northern parts of England.  In fact, the city was pretty much ruins: burnt down buildings, abandoned shops, run down cars, you name it.  It was like what you saw in the movies…but worse.

As Tim was taking out his canister of water, there was a faint shuffle from behind him.  He turned around quickly and a short silhouette of someone had hidden behind a shelf in the abandoned grocery store.  There was a faint sob and Tim's eyebrows shot up.

"Hey there… don't be scared," He offered as he slowly approached the shelf, "I'm not here to harm you." The figure emerged from behind the shelf and Tim found a small child, female and looked like she was starved.  Her large green eyes were large and filled with fear as Tim approached closer, but then there was a loud cock of a gun and Tim froze.

"Step.  Away.  Now." Tim lifted his hands in the air and turned around slowly, his eyes only to meet another pair of emerald orbs.

Wait?  Is that—

"Tim?" the man lowered his gun and Tim got a full view of the man, actually, he got a full view of Vash, also known as Switzerland.

"Oh m'God, Vash!" Tim said reluctantly, placing a palm on his shoulder.  Vash only nodded and asked, "What are you doing here?" he asked, strapping his gun behind him.  Tim explained to him the predicament and how he and you were off to Romania to seek a haven from all of this hell.  He then brought the two out to see a comforting sight…and you.

Vash raised an eyebrow suspiciously and asked, "Is this that girl you were talking about? ______?"  Tim nodded and helped you up.

"Oh God, Tim I was so worried, you were gone for so long, I thought something had happened." You sighed in relief, your eyes then met a beautiful pair of fearful, emerald orbs that hid behind the blonde man with cropped hair.

"Hey there sweetie, there's no need to be shy, you can come out." You said soothingly to the child.  She stepped out, having the exact haircut as (you assumed) her brother.

"She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to." Vash said protectively.  Just before you were about to give Vash a piece of your mind, Tino had popped in the conversation, holding Raivis by his arm as he asked, "Vash!  What are you doing here?"

Tim was reluctant to that.

"I might ask you all the same…" Vash answered with narrowed eyes.  Tino furrowed his brows in frustration and said, "Well no need to be rude.  We're following Tim and ______ to find fellow countries that have survived.  So far, so good."

"Unfortunately…" Tim said under his breath, making you and Raivis giggle.  Vash, Tino, Tim, and Ivan started sharing information amongs each other which left you and Raivis to talk with Lily, who was actually quite sweet.

"Miss______, why are with all of dese countries?" she asked innocently.  You gave her a sympathetic look as you said, "You know who Mr. Kirkland is?"

"Is he the one with the bushy brows?"  You chuckled to that and continued, "Yes, well you see, he grew very sick and needed someone to take over his position.  But he's in a better place now." You reassured with a faint smile.

To be honest, it still hurt to talk about Arthur.  What could you say?  You missed the stubborn Brit.  Lily's expression changed as she come forth and hugged you.

"I'm sorry Miss ______...  Did you love Mr. England?" she asked, her face still buried in your hair.  A single tear fell as you answered sadly, "Yeah,  I did."

~~

"So Vash, do you and Lily want to join us?" Ivan asked.  Vash sighed and answered, "I guess so, Lily and I were here at a hotel when all this calamity happened and we've been trying to survive here ever since.  There's no need to stay when food supply is already growing short."

"Food supply?" everyone asked simultaneously.

"Where?" Tino asked, stepping towards Vash with a pleading look.  Vash looked as if he didn't want to answer but he sighed in defeat as he saw even Ivan look rather skinny.

"It's in the back, collect as much as you can carry and eat what you can.  But be sure to watch what you're eating, like I said, we're running low."  Everyone nodded and proceeded to enter the shop's back room to collect all they could.

~~

It had been a solid week of walking and very few words were exchanged among everyone.  It was thoughts that had been consuming them.  Thoughts of the food, thoughts of plans, thoughts of their futures…

It was a particularly quiet morning as all of you were packing up to head on another day's journey to the shores.  Something had been plaguing Tim's mind for a couple days and he really wanted to share it with you, and only with you.

"Hey ______, can you co'mere for a sec?" Tim asked.  You nodded with a slight smile and walked towards the tall, fidgety Dutchman and asked him what was up.  He ran his hand through his messy hair and let out an uneasy sigh.

"Listen, if we get to—when we get to Romania, I want to…" Tim let out a frustrated grunt.

"What is it Tim?" you asked.  Tim seemed to grow a faint blush on his pale cheeks as he looked up and grabbed your shoulders, looking you dead in the eye.

"Okay, this isn't easy for me to say.  In fact, I'm just going to tell y'straight up.  I want to have a life with you after this.  I want to actually…you know…have a family—and I know it's soon for you 'cause we've only known each other for maybe five weeks, but I want to keep y'safe…because… you make me happy…" he stopped to look over his shoulder, checking to see if the pack was ready to leave, but they weren't, he then looked back at you, your face reddened and your un-bandaged eye was widened.

"I just can't see myself with any other woman." He finished.

"T-Tim…"

"Hey you two, we need to go.  We have just a few more miles before we reach the shore." Ivan hollered.  Tim kept his intense gaze with you and waited for an answer.

"I-I don't know Tim…I mean…this is really soon…" you whispered.  This was truly shocking coming out of Tim's mouth.  You certainly weren't expecting it.

Tim let go of your shoulders, a glint of hurt had shown in his olive eyes as he mumbled, "I'll give y'time to think 'bout it.  I just wanted you to know…  I probably shouldn't have even said anything.." and with that, he walked off, joining the small crowd, leaving you in your utter shock.  It's not that you didn't want it to happen, but it was just so soon of him to ask.

Tino hollered for you to come on and that's when you snapped out of it.  Hurrying to join them, you made little to no eye contact with Tim.

You, Tim, Ivan, Tino, Raivis, Vash and Lily then continued on your long journey, only to expect the unexpected.
A continuation of my other account's series: Apocalypse.

If you are new to this and don't want to ruin the entire story line, then I highly suggest you read the first chapter of it on my old account: [link]

There are links to the other chapters, but I warn you, this is not a happy-go-lucky series. It's pretty dark and pretty sad. :/

Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed, there will definitely be more up soon. I have the rest of this plot figured out and I'm very excited to share it with you all! C:
